It is important to note that course registration for OAP students is different from other traditional or online students at UNCW. For OAP students, course registration is managed through conversation between the student and their SSC advisor. The student agrees to their course registration in writing via an emailed survey they receive from the SSC. Once the registration is processed, within 24 hours during business days, the advisor sends a written confirmation of the course registration to the student. Course registration can be processed for an entire semester (i.e., both Session 1 and Session 2) at a time. The student can request changes to course registration in writing directly to their assigned advisor. If course and seat availability allow, the course registration will be modified within 48 hours during business days, and the advisor will send a written confirmation of the course registration modification to the student.

It is also important to be aware that limited and specific courses are offered per enrollment period and not every course is offered every enrollment period. For example, you may want to take Course ABC to fulfill a credit requirement but only Course XYZ is available right now for that OAP enrollment period. You will have to make the decision to either wait until your desired course is available to fulfill that credit requirement or take the currently available course.
